I was influenced greatly by my mother and father who have been in the business their entire lives. On March 16, 1997 my father Aleko passed away, but his memory lives on here in South Lyon.

We specialize in catering parties of all sizes, from intimate gatherings to large events across Metro Detroit. Whether you need wedding catering in South Lyon, corporate catering in the Metro Detroit area, or event catering in Novi MI, stop in and ask for a catering menu.

At my restaurant the friendly staff takes pride in great service. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to share them with me. I am on staff daily at the restaurant.

Meet Mark Savedes

The heart and soul behind Aleko's Catering, serving South Lyon and Metro Detroit since 1992.

A Message from Mark

Mark is first and foremost, a father to two amazing young women, Anna, 24 and Emily, 23. His girls are following in his footsteps by getting an education. Both are hard workers.

Mark earned degrees from Eastern Michigan University in Communications and Psychology, and went on to earn his Master's Degree. He is also a competitive athlete who races Ironman triathlons around the world.

He read a book, "Anointed for Business", and his greatest take-away is the mindset of living for a greater purpose. Mark went on to flourish in the restaurant business, taking after his parents and growing a local business into a place known to many as a community and service-oriented institution.

Aleko's is well-known in this, and other communities, for getting their customers to volunteer for local and international projects. He has volunteered in North America, Canada, Africa, South America, West Indies, the Virgin Islands, Europe and many more global destinations.

Since 1992, Aleko's has been more than a catering company in South Lyon. We are a community. From corporate catering for Metro Detroit companies and wedding catering across the region to feeding championship sports teams and volunteering on international service trips, everything we do is guided by this singular purpose: to give more than we take.
